Begging for Bucks

I've written here on this blog before about odious LGBT-hating Roy Moore, who most recently lost a closely watched election for Alabama's Senate seat in a special election.

You'd think with his loss he would have disappeared into humiliating obscurity, but not so. He's been earning headlines for himself by endorsing 2018 candidates as loathsome as he is.

His most recent stunt, however, is truly digusting -- he's begging for donations of at least $100,000 to pay his legal bills after being sued by one of his alleged sexual harassment victims (details here). In an extraordinary act of arrogance, he's making it sound like his lawsuit defense is the only thing standing between the Christian world and Satan's minions.

"I will trust God that he will allow truth to prevail against the unholy forces of evil behind their attack," he says. "Unless we stand together we will lose our country." Moore, of course, sees himself as leader of this holy battle.

Of course, he never shoulders any of the blame for his spectacular fall from grace. He's being hounded, according to him, by an evil league of LGBT Americans, abortionists, George Soros, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and on and on.

Gloating over someone's spectacular disgrace can be cruel and heartless, but Moore certainly begs to be a rare exception. For someone who's always babbling about how holy he is and constantly quoting the Bible, you'd think he'd turn to that latter source and actually learn to use it as something other than a prop.

He might thumb through to the Book of Proverbs and read: "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."

I have thought about taking up a neighborhood collection to send to "Judge" Roy Moore. A box of all the dog shit I can find.
